Students, organizers and music lovers of all ages will enjoy one of Quincy High School’s 31st annual Showcase of Excellence. This well-loved tradition will be at Quincy Senior High School on Saturday, March 9 from 8 am-9 pm.
Arts Quincy, America’s First Arts Council, is pleased to announce it has partnered with Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce to organize this year’s Dogwood Royalty Event. This year’s theme is May the Fourth Be with You: The Power of Community and ties into the “Dogwood Royalty Contest.”
Arts Quincy will crown a Little King and Queen (ages 7-10 years old) and a Prince and Princess (ages 4-6 years old). Winners will ride with Arts Quincy in the Chamber’s Dogwood Parade on Saturday, May 4. Adams County, IL - In 2025, Adams County, Illinois, will proudly mark its 200th anniversary, and the Adams County Bicentennial Commission (ACBC) is thrilled to announce community-driven plans for a year-long celebration. To honor this significant occasion, throughout 2024, the ACBC would like to invite businesses, organizations and people to create, execute or participate in activities that commemorate the stories of our people and places to mark this historic occasion. All are committed to presenting a diverse and engaging celebration that reflects the rich tapestry of our County's collective history.
The Quincy Public Library Outreach Services department currently serves over 170 patrons in the Quincy area on a bi-weekly basis delivering to individual homes and community living centers.
The Quincy University School of Fine Arts and Communication will host a visit day on Saturday, Feb. 17. Students will have the opportunity to tour campus and meet with faculty. Students will have a chance to audition for music scholarships, share their art portfolios or participate in a communication workshop. All students who attend the event will be considered for scholarships.

Quincy Community Theatre celebrated its 2023 season Friday evening at the Atrium on Third. The evening began with a formal dinner, followed by the awards and recognition ceremony. Twenty volunteers were recognized for their contributions to the theatre.
