Staff Position
The Marketing and Graphic Design Coordinator for Arts Quincy is responsible for managing the organization’s communications, marketing initiatives, and promotional strategies to engage the community and support the mission of America’s First Arts Council. This role oversees the production of Arts Quincy Magazine, public service announcements, radio segments, STEAM features, events, and digital outreach, while maintaining brand consistency and ensuring the visibility of the arts across Adams County and beyond.

Arts Quincy Magazine (Published 5x annually)
Compensation:
This position will be at a minimum of $19/hr and is commensurate with experience. Arts Quincy offers a $500/month wellness stipend in lieu of health insurance. Simplified Employee Pension (SEP) available after 90 day probationary period. Generous paid time-off and paid holidays and 35 hour standard week for full-time employees.

Qualifications & Skills
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign Required, Photoshop and Illustrator preferred) and digital publishing tools.
- Experience in social media management and email marketing platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
- Fundraising/grant writing experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Portfolio of published work, writing and graphic samples preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Arts Quincy Magazine (Published 5x annually)
- Manage advertising contracts, invoicing, and billing.
- Oversee editorial planning, photography, and content development.
- Write feature/cover stories, student spotlights, and organizational updates.
- Coordinate calendar spreads, gallery/museum listings, and pagination.
- Prepare and submit preproduction files for printing.
- Manage mailing/distribution lists; ensure bulk mailing is funded.
- Track production and mailing costs.
- Support fundraising/grant writing related to magazine distribution (e.g., Quincy Service League).
- Upload the magazine to the website and promote through social media, blog, and Arts Blast newsletter.
- Write 6–8 weeks of 50-word PSA scripts at a time.
- Schedule studio recordings; provide scripts and images.
- Archive audio files to Dropbox and track placements.
- Enter media values into reporting spreadsheets.
- Maintain a set of evergreen PSAs (membership, holiday greetings, events, historic tours, etc.).
- Select 3–5 arts-related topics weekly to feature.
- Draft content using a structured format: organization, event, date, time, place, and contact information.
- Preview concerts/events at the beginning of each month.
- Adapt radio content for social media with custom graphics/photos or reshared posts.
- Identify and recruit teachers, parents, and organizations to spotlight students in STEM + Arts projects.
- Collect project instructions, photos, and supply lists for publication.
- Submit materials weekly (Thursday deadline).
- Repurpose content for the website and social media channels.
- Coordinate and promote recurring programs such as:
- June/July: Summer of the Arts, Swimming Complex activities, Annual Meeting, Resource Guide updates.
- August–September: Instant Arts Classroom Funds, Arts Dollars program.
- October–December: Blood drives, holiday/winter magazine deadlines, year-end giving, board meeting.
- January–April: Field trips, fundraisers, Dogwood contests, IAC/MAAA conference, quarterly blood drives.
- May: Dogwood Parade, wine tasting fundraiser, summer magazine press deadline.
- Maintain and update the Arts Quincy website using Flipcause and web editor portals.
- Publish blog content, manage digital calendars (Tockify, community calendars).
- Design and send Mailchimp email campaigns.
- Track analytics and engagement metrics for digital platforms.
- Create branded promotional materials including:
- Parade banners, yard signs, posters, flyers, brochures, booklets, digital screen images, annual reports, and infographics.
- Use Adobe Creative Suite for professional design and publishing.
